The first stand that UNICOL made was for a Kodak Carousel slide projector some 60 years ago and since then both the types of projector and ways of mounting them has grown as the Audio Visual Industry has expanded. All projectors require a light source to project an image onto a surface and use internal technology to process inputs into red green and blue mixed outputs. Without going into detail, there are DLP, LCD, LED, LCoS and Laser projectors. All have benefits depending on the job they have to do and the budget you have to spend.

In simple terms, AV Furniture consists of movable articles that support audio-visual (AV) hardware that make a room or building suitable for living or working in. Within the audiovisual industry, this generally appertains to desks, tables and lecterns that are specifically built to have AV hardware fitted to them, either within or on the outside.
